Step 1 - Click on "Onboarding" tab on the sidebar
Step 2 — Select programs Choose the program(s) the patient will be enrolled in (e.g. RPM, CCM). This determines the scope of monitoring and care services available to the patient.
Step 3 — Enter demographic information Fill in the patient's basic information: name, date of birth, gender, address, and contact details. This information is used to identify the patient across the platform.
Step 4 — Enter medical information Provide the patient's clinical data including BMI, age, diagnoses, and any relevant health history. This information is used later to recommend the appropriate cuff size for blood pressure monitors.
Step 5 — Select the care plan Select the conditions being monitored and configure the care plan (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, COPD). The care plan drives the suggested device recommendations in the next step.
Step 6 — Review suggested devices Based on the care plan and medical information entered in the previous steps, a suggestion banner appears at the top of the Medical Devices screen. Click "Select all suggested" to apply all recommendations at once, or dismiss the banner and choose manually.
Step 7 — Filter and browse devices Use the category filter chips (Blood Pressure → Pulse Oximeter → Weight Scale → Blood Glucose) or the search bar to narrow the list. Devices are grouped by category in order of most commonly ordered.
Step 8 — Understand device tiers and fulfillment type
- Direct+ — premium co-branded collaboration
- Direct — built for CareSimple with CareSimple connectivity
- Partner — partner device and network
Devices marked with a pink Extended range badge have a larger cuff or higher weight capacity — confirm with the patient before selecting.
Devices marked with Amazon fulfillment are shipped via the Amazon delivery network (2–3 day delivery time).
Devices marked with Standard fulfillment are shipped using our standard shipping partner (3–5 day delivery time).
Step 9 — Select cuff size (CareSimple Direct+ BP Monitor only) When the Direct+ blood pressure monitor is selected, a cuff size panel appears below the card. The recommended cuff is pre-selected based on the patient's BMI entered in Step 3. Confirm or adjust as needed:
- UA-420A Wide Range — 8.6"–16.5" (22–42 cm) · default, BMI-based recommendation
- UA-289A Small — 6.3"–9.4" (16–24 cm)
- UA-291A Large — 12.2"–17.7" (31–45 cm)
Step 10 —Add shipping information Once all appropriate devices are selected, click Next to proceed and shipping address for patient to receive the devices. If this patient is onboarded from the EHR, shipping information will be auto-populated.
If no address have been recorded for this patient and want to save this address as the patient address in the patient chart click "Use this shipping address as the patient's address".
Step 11 — Confirm Once shipping information is entered, review details for the onboarded patient and ordered devices and confirm.
